Product Spotlight: Lithium Battery for Military/Aerospace
The TLM 1550 high-voltage/high-rate AA-size battery targets applications needing long life and extended storage, such as military/aerospace systems, automatic external defibrillators and other portable medical devices, communications systems, automatic collision-notification systems, wireless sensors, and other telemetric and remote devices.
The battery packs 2 Wh of energy at 4 V and
handles up to 15-A pulses with a 5-A continuous
discharge. It has a self-discharge rate of
less than 3%/yr at room temperature, and a
temperature range of –40 to 85°C. The battery
has a safe design so it can be shipped as nonhazardous.
Additional features include a glassto-
metal hermetic seal instead of a crimped
elastomer gasket, nontoxic and nonpressurized
solvents, and less-reactive anode material.
