Product Spotlight: Plastic Bearings Offer Environmental Benefits
Iglide plastic plain bearings contain solid lubricants, so no oil or grease is required.

This prevents environmental contamination. The lightweight bearings reduce the mass of vehicles and aircraft, cutting fuel consumption and carbon dioxide output.

Plastic bearings have high chemical resistance, unlike metals which must be placed in environmentally unfriendly, high-energy zinc galvanizing baths to achieve the same effect.
