ProTech bearing isolators from John Crane, Morton Grove, Ill., protect bearings on rotating equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, and electric motors. The bearing isolators stop lubricant leakage and prevent outside contaminants from entering the bearing housings. The PTFE isolators are unitized and have a positive-locking mechanism that reportedly prevents internal damage during installation and operation. No installation tools are required.
