Bearing Units For Miniature Ball Screws

Sept. 16, 2004
The SLS and SLF Series of industry-standard support bearing assemblies provide cost savings as they eliminate design and assembly time.

The SLS pillowblock and SLF rectangular-flange designs include backlash-free sealed precision duplex bearings, locknut, and housing for attachment to a flat surface (SLS) or round unit (SLF). The bearings are greased for life, so they are maintenance-free. The Series comes in four sizes to accommodate bearing inside diameters of 6, 8, 10, and 12 mm. They are only compatible with Steinmeyer precision-ground miniature ball-screw Series 1112, 1214, 1412, and 1510 and their rolled-thread counterparts, Series 1132, 1234, 1432, and 1530. For screws with longer thread, a single radial support bearing is included on the back end.
