Bearings Products: Bearing Selection Guide

July 10, 2008
Version 3.0 of the electronic Bearing Selection Guide lets users build an application model and select bearings.

Engineers enter dimensional and performance requirements and the program checks them against a database of tapered, spherical, cylindrical, and needle roller bearings, as well as ball bearings.

Users can display bearing specifications, search and sort by bearing dimensions and attributes, and generate envelope drawings and 2D DXF files. The software models bearing positions, gears, external applied loads, and duty cycle to permit application analysis including gear forces, bearing loads, and average bearing life. Users can narrow results by fixing bearing dimensions or life-performance requirements.

Models can be exported and imported into common software packages for reference or refinement. The Windows program is available in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Chinese.
