Bison Gear & Engineering Corp., St. Charles, Ill., a manufacturer of fractional horsepower gearmotors and electric motors, appointed Martin Swarbrick president and chief operating officer. Most recently, Swarbrick was vice president and director of business excellence for Motorola.

Born in Cork, Ireland, Swarbrick was educated at Trinity College, Dublin, and holds degrees in engineering and mathematics.
