CAN Microcontrollers

Sept. 14, 2006
The PIC18F4685 family are highperformance, low-power 8-bit controller-area-network (CAN) microcontrollers targeting the automotive and industrial areas.

The controllers have 80 or 96-kbyte Flash program memory, 3.3-kbyte RAM, and 1-kbyte data EEPROM memory. The devices come in 28 and 44-pin package sizes for spaceconstrained applications. Other key features include: a 10-bit ADC with eight or eleven channels, an enhanced capture-compare PWM (ECCP), a standard CCP, an SPI and a master I2C serial communication port, an enhanced USART for RS-232, RS-485 and LIN serial interfaces, two analog comparators, and one 8-bit and three 16-bit timers.
