Circuit Breaker

Nov. 18, 2004
The ESS20-1 circuit breaker provides selective circuit protection of DIN-rail factory automation equipment connected to switch-mode power supplies, sensors, actuators, field-bus couplers, and controls.

Circuit breaker

Remotely resettable, the breaker permits restart with minimum downtime. In the event of an overload, the circuit shuts down and, after the fault is cleared, the circuit breaker remotely resets. This eliminates the need for an electrician or technician to push a manual reset button, thereby saving money. Faults can be quickly identified because the ESS20-1 communicates with logic controllers and factory-control software. For measurement purposes or to shut down the machinery, the unit is equipped with a manual pushbutton. The breaker has selectable current ratings from 1 to 6 A.
