Communications Terminal

May 25, 2006
The eDindus communications terminal connects industrial equipment to the Internet over GPRS, PSTN (V90 ISP), and Ethernet networks.

It features DIN-rail mounting and works with a wide range of electric power supplies. The M2M terminal handles the protocols to transfer information on a TCP/IP network and includes an FTP client, e-mail client, and Web server. A 16-bit microprocessor managing the Modbus protocol also allows for specific C-coded client modules to be embedded in the terminal. Connection to equipment is through a wide range of hardware interfaces including RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, analog and digital input/output, dry, and switch.
