The Compumotor Div.

The Compumotor Div. of Parker Hannifin Corp., Rohnert Park, Calif., expands its line of Gemini drives to include drive and controller versions for servo and stepper control. The GV6 and GT6 feature sequencing, registration, motion profiling, conditional statements, S-curve profiling, and up to 290 lines of programmable control. Drive I/O includes eight programmable inputs and six programmable outputs. Programming and configuration are reported to be simple with Motion Planner application-development software. Pocket Motion Planner is the same basic software, but it can be used on Windows CE-based Palm PCs. GV6 and GT6 connect to several field and motion buses including Sercos, Profibus, and Interbus. Gemini drives provide up to 14.7-kW peak power for servos and 8-A continuous current for steppers.
