Expansion Joints For Tough Duty

Jan. 25, 2007
PTFE Molded Expansion Joints are spool-type flexible couplings that compensate for movement and abate noise in corrosive environments.

They can replace metallic joints/lap joints, or those with PTFE and FEP liners. They are available in two, three, four, or five convolutions in a wide variety of dimensions. All come with ductile iron flanges and control units ready for installation. Flanges in other alloys are also available. Flanges resist atmospheric corrosion and are tapped to ANSI-standard drilling of 150 lb. Control units are coupled with flanges to prevent joints from too much axial elongation. The unit's tie rods are factory set to maximum face-to-face working limits, with locknuts preventing overextension. A free specification guide is available.
