Structure and composition improvements raise load-carrying capacity by 50%. The bearings have good wear and friction properties under slow-speed oscillating or rotating motion and resist shock loads and chemical attack. Applications include earthmoving, construction, and agricultural equipment, conveyors, railway couplers, and chemical plant valves. The bearings withstand maximum static loads to 43,500 psi (300 MPa) and dynamics loads to 20,000 psi (140 MPa). Maximum recommended speed is 25 fpm (0.12 m/sec) and operating temperature range is 148 to 320°F. Coefficient of friction is 0.05 to 0.30 and recommended shaft surface finish RA is 0.20 to 0.8 µm.
