Free-Operating Hinges

Oct. 6, 2005
Two lines of free-operating hinges target network, telecommunications, computer and industrial cabinets, enclosures, and equipment.

They permit 180° of free-swinging motion and work with formed sheet-metal doors.

Most of the fixed-installation-style (EH Class) hinges can accommodate doors and frames that are on the same plane. Extended offset hinges let doors fully open in applications where cabinets or enclosures are tightly configured. And in-line hinges work when the door-mounting surface is perpendicular to the frame-mounting surface.

Door-removal corner hinges (KH Class) fit nearly flush into the corner bend of formed sheet-metal doors. Independently mounted hinge pins simplify the process of removing doors for unrestricted access to enclosures.

The hinges handle axial and radial working loads from 270 to 1,120 lb/ft. Most are made of die-cast zinc and come finished in chrome, black powder coated, or custom-color powder-coated finishes. Chrome-plated brass hinges are also available. Several hinge styles have concealed mounting hardware for improved aesthetics and security. Through-bolt styles with countersunk holes install in blind holes.
