Aug. 19, 2004
The ServoStep is a fully integrated motion-control system designed around stepmotor technology.

FULLY INTEGRATED STEPMOTOR

It features a high-torque, 50-pole stepmotor, motion controller, drive-amplifier, and encoder in one system. The first release is in a NEMA-34 frame size delivering up to 650 oz-in. of torque and a nominal speed of 2,200 rpm. Future versions are planned in NEMA-17, 23, and 34 sizes. All have standard NEMA mounts. Features include an RS-232 port, 14 I/O, a 4-kHz PID filter, ability to work in position, torque, and velocity modes; step and direction mode; software current limit, limit switch inputs, thermal protection, and single voltage inputs.
