Heavy-Duty Linear Actuator

Sept. 28, 2006
New SRX-150 is a high-precision, compact, aluminum-profile linear actuator.

It reportedly has a smaller footprint than similar units, yet provides up to double the roll-moment capacity of comparable screw-driven products and nearly five times that of other belt-driven actuators. Dynamic load ratings are to 66 kN with speeds to 5 m/sec.

Standard features include NSK K1 lubrication units, endof-stroke bumpers, and a stainless-steel sealing strip that protects linear guides and ball screws from contamination. Both belt-drive and ball-screw units have NSK LW Series linear rolling guides. The latter uses NSK LPR Series precision rolled ball screws, Grade Ct7, for high accuracy. Options include enclosed linear encoders with resolution to 1 m, integral gearheads with <3 arc-min of backlash, proximity sensors, and a wide array of motor mounts, connecting brackets, and couplers.
