High-Reliability, Vacuum-Encapsulated CCFL Inverters

Nov. 3, 2005
A family of dc-ac inverters for powering cold-cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) backlit LCDs uses a special vacuum-encapsulated design for lamp ignition, even in harsh environments.

E200II and SE/SE2 Series inverters provide maximum resistance to shock, vibration, and humidity for medical-diagnostic equipment, industrial instrumentation, and POS displays. They operate at efficiencies of 80 to 85% (typically) and are designed and tested using actual LCD-display assemblies to ensure system compatibility.

The E200II (15.3 32 39.7 mm) powers one or two CCFLs with up to 8 W of output power. The low-profile SE/SE2 Series is just 10.66 19.1 75.7 mm. The SE Series outputs up to 5 W for single CCFL backlights, and the SE2 Series powers two lamps. All carry a one-year warranty.
