Hydraulic Products: Axial-Piston Pump

June 5, 2008
The redesigned A4VG variable pump is for closed-circuit applications.

Nominal pressure rating has increased by 700 psi over previous versions, to 6,500 psi, and it has been adapted to counteract lower diesel-engine speeds and lower input flow rates. The housing on the swashplatedesign pump accepts sensors for monitoring swivel angle, pressure, and rotational speed. A bowl-shaped design avoids highpressure transitions at sealing points and relocates the high-pressure ports to optimize hydraulic line routing. All connections use O-ring seals to ensure leaktight threads. The A4VG combined with Series 71 A6VM axial-piston variable motors provide high-power density for hydrostatic travel drives.
