Image Sensors Handle Fast Frame Rates

Sept. 2, 2004
The KAI-0340M image sensor supports systems with readout times to 210 frames/sec, increasing throughput in manufacturing applications.
Sensors are progressive scan, interline CCDs that capture light under a wide range of lighting conditions. Resolution is 6403 480 pixels and is available in single or dual-output versions for increased frame rates. With a feature called Fast Horizontal Line Dump, frame rates can reach 4,000 frames/sec with resolutions of 2443 60. Sensors also feature electronic shuttering, low noise and dark current, and can be supplied with an RGB-color-filter array.
