The RS-232 brand of interface converters addresses legacy industrial networking applications. The new SC-232 line features both port-powered and externally powered models as well as an optoisolation option on some models. Each converter comes with a DB9-to-screw terminal block adapter. The converters convert RS-232 to RS-485 and feature 600-W surge protection, 15-kV static protection, port power, no external power supply, automatic send data control, and operation at –40 to +85°C
