Motor-Control I/O Module

May 25, 2006
The 750-670 I/O module provides stepper motor and servodrive control in a 12-mm-wide package.

The module supports two pulse output patterns, step/direction or incremental encoder that are configured via a function block in the company's IEC 61131-3 programming tool. An RS-422 interface communicates with the stepper or servodrive, which is controlled by a 0-to-500-kHz variable-output frequency. Two digital inputs can be configured to support such motion signals as start/stop, jog/trip, right/left, reference, next position, end-stop, and master clock.
