High-precision, single-row, cylindrical, roller bearings have a collarless outer ring and a free-adjusting inner-ring-and-roller assembly for nonlocating operation on motor spindles.
High-precision, single-row, cylindrical, roller bearings have a collarless outer ring and a free-adjusting inner-ring-and-roller assembly for nonlocating operation on motor spindles. The nonlocating ability compensates for temperature-induced longitudinal changes between shaft and housing. The resilient outer ring compensates for distortion from thermally driven changes in radial clearance, slowing contact stress rise with temperature and extending lubricant life. An optional polyetheretherketone (PEEK) cage guided by the outer ring lets the bearing withstand speeds 60% higher than those tolerated by cylindrical roller bearings with roller-guided cages. The cage is guided on only one side to ensure optimum lubricant distribution.Schaeffler Group USA, 308 Springhill Farm Rd., Fort Mill, SC 29715, (803) 548-8500, www.schaeffler.us
