New Electrical/Electronic Products: Open-Frame Power Supply

Jan. 9, 2009
ZWX Series of open-frame dc power supplies have five output voltages of 3.3, 5, 12, and 12 V along with a 5-V standby

The ZWX Series of open-frame dc power supplies have five output voltages of 3.3, 5, 12, and -12 V along with a 5-V standby. The ZWX300 includes a sixth output at 12 Vdc for extended support. All models are 1U rack/enclosure mountable and may be convection cooled at power ratings of 90, 120, and 150 W. With 30-cfm forcedair cooling the power ratings jump to 153, 204, and 255 W, respectively, with peak power approximately 30 to 40-W higher.

Standard features include active PFC (power factor correction), logic level on/off control, >80% efficiency, overcurrent and overvoltage protection, remote-sense on the 3.3-V output, and no minimum loads required.

The supplies operate over an input range of 85 to 265 Vac and in temperatures ranging from –10 to 70°C (with appropriate derating). Package size varies depending on output wattage and ranges from 3.7 × 1.42 × 8.27 in., up to 4.65 × 1.42 × 9.84 in. Compliances include UL/CSA/EN60950-1 and EN50178 (OV II), CE Mark, EN55011/ EN55022-B, FCC Class B, VCCI-B EMI (conducted and radiated), EN61000-X immunity, and RoHS.
