New five-stage insulation system

July 7, 2005
A new 5-stage insulation system is designed to meet NEMA MG 1-1993, Section IV, Part 31. These products consist of all new motor and gearhead combinations for maximum output power in the smallest package. Applications for the new inverter duty gearmotors include factory automation, machine tools, conveyors, and material handling and packaging.

The inverter-grade magnet wire and Class F insulation system offers superior protection against spikes and corona damage caused by the inverter. Pacesetter gearmotors are UL recognized for construction, CSA certified, and in compliance with the Low Voltage Directive CE. The Pacesetter motors and gearmotors are rated from 1/25 HP, 230VAC, 60 Hz, 3-phase for operation with a wide range of inverter products. Needle bearings on the output shaft of gearmotors provide increased radial load capacity and long life. The gearmotors are permanently lubricated and require no maintenance. Standard features on most models include fan cooled for high output power, aluminum center ring and endshields for high thermal efficiency and light weight, totally enclosed IP-20 rating, hardened helical output gearing for quietness and high output torque. Hollow shaft versions of right-angle gearmotors are also available. IP-40 terminal box kits are available for all PACESETTER models. Most frame sizes are available motor only with synchronous and non-synchronous winding. For more information, contact Bodine Electric Company, Marcom Dept., 2500 W.
