New Product: Air Cylinders With Piston Sensing

March 20, 2008
The Airpel line of nonstiction air-cylinder actuators feature state-of-the-art giant magnetoresistive (GMR) technology, which is based on the measurement of the average strength of the magnetic field.

GMR sensor chips reside in a plastic shell with a small LED window for visible indication of the switching signal.

For applications requiring electrical output of piston position, an optional switch-activating magnet on the piston, as well as one or more 9.51 6.83-mm aluminum tracks that attach to the cylinder are available.

The sensors operate at 10 to 30 Vdc with ±0.2 mm repeatability.
