New Products: EtherCAT-Enabled Servodrives

Nov. 22, 2008
EtherCAT-enabled highperformance system communication allows for interfacing with PC-based control technology.

New versions of the EtherCAT-enabled AX5000 servodrives, suitable for packaging applications, now come in 18 and 25-A rated current. The Series, designed as a single or multichannel version, support highly dynamic positioning tasks. The EtherCAT highperformance system communication allows for interfacing with PC-based control technology.

The AX5000 comes in the basic versions AX51xx (one channel) up to 12 A and AX52xx (two channel) up to 2 × 6-A rated motor current. The AX52xx two-channel servodrive allows for operation of two motors with identical or different capacities, up to a total current of 12 A. The multiaxis drives have variable motor output allocation which optimize packaging density and cost/drive channel. Version AX5118 is for rated currents of 18 A and AX5125 for rated currents of 25 A.
