New Products: Linear-Motor Stage

Nov. 22, 2008
The ALS130H Series linear motor stage has a center-driven, noncogging direct-drive linear motor so there is no backlash, windup, or “stiction” associated with leadscrew or ball-screw drives. The motor drives the stage to a peak unloaded acceleration of 1 g and 300-mm/sec maximum velocity

The ALS130H Series linear motor stage has a center-driven, noncogging direct-drive linear motor so there is no backlash, windup, or “stiction” associated with leadscrew or ball-screw drives. The motor drives the stage to a peak unloaded acceleration of 1 g and 300-mm/sec maximum velocity. A moving-magnet- track design eliminates the need for cable management.

Additional features include 75-nm bidirectional repeatability, 23-N continuous- force rating, high-accuracy noncontact glass-scale linear encoder, and anticage creep cross-roller bearings.
