The plug-in motion/machine-control Mint Machine Module eliminates the need for a separate external network controller

The plug-in motion/machine-control Mint Machine Module eliminates the need for a separate external network controller.

The module plugs into the hardware expansion slot in any MotiFlex Powerlinkcompatible three-phase ac-motor drives. The card comes in two variations: a dualaxis version controls the host Powerlink drive plus another external drive via a conventional analog interface, or a highspeed version that will act as a Powerlink network controller to manage a complete multiaxis control system.

The multiaxis card acts as a Powerlink network controller for more sophisticated motion-control requirements: It is powerful enough to control the host drive itself, three other Powerlink-connected drives, and another drive via the analog interface. Two additional expansion-card slots on MotiFlex drives permit configuration with Profibus DP, DeviceNet, Ethernet IP, Modbus TCP, and CC-Link.
