Pneumatic/ Current Transducers

Sept. 2, 2004
P200 and P290 pneumatic-to-current P/I transducers are designed to convert standard 3-15, 3-27, or 6-30 psig air pressures into a two-wire 4 to 20 or 10 to 50-mA signal with a total accuracy up to ±0.10%. Customized inputs as low as 0 to 20-in. w.c. or as high as 0 to 50 psig are readily available.

Customized inputs as low as 0 to 20-in. w.c. or as high as 0 to 50 psig are readily available. The explosionproof P200 provides a NEMA-4X housing designed for hazardous environments of chemical and petrochemical industries, mining, or oil and gas fields. It is FM approved and CSA certified as explosionproof for Class I, Div. 1, Groups A, B, C, D; dust ignitionproof for Class II, Div. 1, Groups E, FG; and suitable for Class III, Div. 1 locations. The industrial grade P290 incorporates the same accuracy and reliability as the P200 without the explosionproof housing. A modular design allows convenient panel or DIN-rail mounting for individual or high-density applications. The P290 is used extensively in modern automated systems of the pharmaceutical, semiconductor, paper, and food industries. Both kinds of P/I transducers require only a 10-Vdc power supply and provide protection from both conducted and radiated RFI from 20 MHz to 1 GHz.
