PoE Motion Control Card

July 27, 2006
The FMOD-IPDCMOT combines a 32-bit motion controller with Ethernet communication protocol and an integrated HTTP Web server.

Power over Ethernet (PoE) powers the unit up to 15 W for both card and motor. Full-power operation of 70-W continuous, 140-W max, requires an external power supply. The card has a Risc processor using a four-quadrant 32-bit PID regulator at sampling rates from 20 to 2,000 Hz. Available operations include brake mode, free mode, open-loop mode, position-control mode, speedcontrol mode, and includes 10 different homing modes. Current limitation is automatic and configurable of TCP/IP to prevent motor overheating and wear.
