Pump Bushings And Case Rings

July 13, 2006
Graphalloy, a self-lubricating and nongalling graphite/metal alloy, is used for pump bushing and case rings.

The parts let pumps survive repeated "run-dry" conditions, slow-roll operation, and frequent stop/starts. The bearing material has a wide temperature range for pump applications from cryogenic to 1,000°F. Graphalloy-fitted pumps have less vibration for closer fits, as well as survive upsets, loss of suction, and other transient conditions.
