Reaction Torque Sensors

Aug. 24, 2006
Series 2300 and 2500 reaction torque sensors feature high torsional stiffness, flange mounting, and come in full-scale capacities from 5 to 500k lb-in. (0.56 to 56.5k N-m).

These sensors measure torque on accessories such as starters, alternators, airconditioning compressors, power-steering gearboxes, and water pumps. Other applications include testing of brake torque, bearing friction small-motor dynamometers, pumps, stepping switch torque, and fluid viscosity. Units come with a shunt calibration resistor. Calibration traces to NIST and takes place in the company's metrology laboratory, which is ISO-17025 accredited by A2LA.
