Rod Gas Springs

March 3, 2005
Black-nitride rod gas springs are for applications requiring an "all-black" appearance, such as automotive hoods.

They offer corrosion resistance between that of chrome rod and stainless-steel gas springs. Springs are available with P1 forces from 20 to 250 lb and in strokes from 2 to 15.5 in., allowing extended lengths from 7.5 to 35.3 in. The springs come with standard plastic ball socket end fittings with options available for steel zinc-plated sockets.
