Sensors Handle Shock, Vibration

Sept. 14, 2006
Temposonics R-Series sensors for linear-position sensing in extreme shock and vibration environments can operate continually at external vibration levels of 15 g (10-2k Hz, IEC standard 68-2-6), handle shock levels of 100 g (single hit, IEC standard 68-2-27), and withstand 30-g vibration without interruption of normal operation.

The sensors are CE certified with the industry's highest EMC ratings. Circuitry protection, including polarity to 30 Vdc and overvoltage to 36 Vdc, helps make sure errors in wiring don't cause sensor failure. Visual dual-colored LEDs ease troubleshooting, indicating normal operation, programming mode, missing external interface signals, and insufficient or out-of-range input power.
