Sensors with weld slag and spatter protection - Turck

The BIM-UNR and BIM-UNT magnetic-cylinder position sensors and Q-pak proximity sensors now feature WeldGuard protection

The BIM-UNR and BIM-UNT magnetic-cylinder position sensors and Q-pak proximity sensors now feature WeldGuard protection, making them impervious to weld slag and spatter from MIG and TIG welding. The protective material is applied to the sensors’ faces, and protective sleeves are also available to protect the attached connector and cordset.

The BIM-UNR sensors mount within C-groove cylinders, and the BIM-UNT mounts in T-groove, dovetail, or tie-rod pneumatic cylinders without requiring additional tools or accessories.
The Q-pak uprox+ factor 1 proximity sensors feature an extended sensing range of 8 mm for all metal types, including copper, aluminum, and stainless steel.
