Serial Device Microserver

The Omega iServer connects serial devices to an Ethernet network and the Internet.

It serves Web pages that let the user configure the device to which it is connected for a specific application, without special software. The device can take a dynamically assigned IP address from a DHCP server on the network. This DHCP client capability works on almost any Ethernet network. The device lets the user assign a static IP address to the iServer instead of the dynamic IP address, if necessary. The IP address can be assigned locally with its serial connection, as well as remotely over an Ethernet network using Telnet or a Web browser.
