Snap-Action Rotary Switches

March 8, 2007
Six models of snap-action rotary switches make or break contact independent of handle speed and hold set position even with severe vibration.

Transfer time is about 10 msec. The switches feature continuous ratings from 20 to 200 A at 600 V. Some configurations allow for four positions and 12 poles. To prevent contamination, switching takes place within the molded phenolic disks. Double-wiping, low-resistance contacts minimize heating and stationary contacts, extended outside the disks, serve as connecting terminals. Most models have a four-hole mount configuration; a single-hole mount is available. The Series 107 is the largest model and can handle current up to 600 A/600 Vac. Preconfigured application-specific versions include voltmeter-transfer, ammeter-transfer , three-phase reversing, and changeover switches.
