A snap-in solid-state LED, the P81, can be modified to include a shunt resistor and metal-oxide varistor to protect against circuit noise and transient voltage spikes.

A snap-in solid-state LED, the P81, can be modified to include a shunt resistor and metal-oxide varistor to protect against circuit noise and transient voltage spikes. It is offered with clear or colored Lexan lenses in stove- pipe or flush-mount configurations. The standard and modified P81 LEDs are available in six colors, including cool white and warm white. They are also available in nine standard ac and dc voltages and can be designed for virtually any custom voltage. There are also RoHS-compliant models.
