Standoffs Simplify PCB Assembly

Feb. 17, 2005
Push-Lok printed-circuit-board standoffs eliminate offline swaging common with screw-machine standoffs.

When seated, a preassembled drive pin secures Push-Lok standoffs to the chassis. The fastener portion has a minimum protrusion but sits flush with a shallow dimple in the chassis. Push-Lok latches are flexible and secure enough to allow for easy assembly of daughter boards without using torque-driven screws. The standoffs are made of UL94V2 Type-66 nylon but UL94V0 versions can be special ordered.
