Strain-Gage Measurements Via Ethernet

July 26, 2007
The smart 2612 Ethernet I/O module sends measurement data from up to four strain gauges simultaneously.

The smart 2612 Ethernet I/O module sends measurement data from up to four strain gauges simultaneously. The unit periodically measures onboard reference standards to update channel gains and offsets. Subsequent readings use the most recent computed gain, offset, and bridge-input voltage. Calibration constants are stored in nonvolatile memory so modules can be replaced without calibration. A LabView software interface and Linux and Windows drivers are available.
