The lightweight RG coaxial cable, for aircraft communication and navigation systems, provides weight savings without compromising performance

The lightweight RG coaxial cable, for aircraft communication and navigation systems, provides weight savings without compromising performance. The cables are about 20% lighter with a 15% smaller diameter. Engineered for electrical impedance of 50 and 75 Ω, the cables special design facilitates easier routing and improved abrasion resistance. The cable’s jacketing material reduces size while maintaining shielding effectiveness, controlling impedance, and withstanding operating temperatures ranging from –65 to 150°C.
