Does your z-axis need a lift?

MAK-AF Auto Focus linear stages meet the demanding requirements of auto-focus applications, providing high speed moves and fast settling times. The stages accommodate up to 25 mm of travel, with encoder resolutions ranging from 10 nm to 100 nm, with 1 nm as an option.

Designed to operate vertically, Auto Focus stages are ideal for image acquisition on microscopes and other types of optical analyzers. A counter balance spring helps manage the weight of lens objectives, while precision crossed roller bearings with an anti-migration device improves lifetime and performance.

Get your gantry in gear

All the components necessary to convert rotary to linear movements are incorporated within the HepcoMotion DLS5. The linear motion system includes the transmission, one or more carriages, and a support.

The main structural element is an aluminum beam that can be up to 6 m long. Power resides in a 50-mm wide toothed belt-and-pulley system that can generate up to 2,450 N of force at 6 m/sec. Carriages ride on a precision ground slide and will support loads of up to 10,000 N.

DLS5 actuators are suited for single and double-axis gantries requiring fast, precise movements.

Standard features include simple belt tensioning screw adjustments, brush seals, and end-of-stroke buffers. Vee bearings and capwipers also come standard.

The HepcoMotion DLS5 can be equipped with a plain input shaft, a fitted geared motor, or tailored to marry with an existing gearbox. T-slots are provided to enable easy integration into any HepcoMotion MCS machine-building construction.

Let it slide

Slide Rail linear slides and table assemblies are ideal for applications requiring smooth motion, low noise, and/or washdown capabilities. All are sized to order, drilled, and tapped, and factory aligned.

The low-profile rails and carriages are available in three heights: 0.5625, 0.75, and 0.875 in., and in lengths of 7, 13, 19, 25, and 31 in. A hard (60-70 Rockwell C) inert ceramic treatment of all surfaces protects them from caustic chemicals and prevents wear. The bearing material is Teflon composite that withstands loads up to 1,000 psi and has a maximum velocity of 80 in./sec (400 sfm). There are no cavities for contaminates to remain.

All load-bearing surfaces are at 45° angles to the mounting surface (and the load force itself), allowing mounting on horizontal or vertical planes.

No hum-drum makes conveyors run

BDL drum motors offer an advanced and efficient conveyer-drive system where the motor, transmission, and bearings are enclosed within the drum shell. Power from the motor is transmitted via the gearbox, which is coupled to a geared rim fixed to the drum and housing.

Durable steel gears with precision cut and honed teeth limit noise to 50 dB. The motors run at 96 % efficiency, reducing power use by up to 32 % (loaded) and 47 % (unloaded).

BDL drum motors are available in a range of sizes, standard ratings, and speeds: diameters of 3.18 to 12.6 in., and face widths of 7.8 to 67 in. Drive motors are rated from 0.11 to 7.5 hp, and belt speeds range from 23 to 1,369 ft/min. Customized motors available upon request.
