Thomson Electrak linear marine actuators provide boat and marine manufacturers with push-pull power for opening, closing, raising, lowering, and holding operations. Compact size, broad load capabilities, and 12 or 24-Vdc operation ensure power is drawn only when the load is being moved.
Featuring stroke lengths of 2 to 24 in. and load ratings of 25 to 1,500 lb, Electrak actuators use ball or acme screw drives for high or moderate load ratings, and hold loads for safety when in power-off mode. Built-in brakes are standard to prevent back driving.
Installation is easy with clevis mounting, which eliminates the need for hoses, pumps, filters, regulators, and maintenance.
Weather protected seals and gaskets provide IP-56 rating. Marine standards met, including UL 1500 Ignition protection per Coast Guard requirements, as well as a pass on the 200 hr salt spray test per ASTM B 117-02.

Reaching a new level
SRU series of rotary actuators sets a new benchmark in actuation with high load capacities and technological advances. Piston guidance comes from sleeves in the aluminum housing, while radial clamped end-stop adjustments allow for easy access and fully adjustable rotation angles from 0 to 180°. The SRU is implemented easily with the use of mounting patterns on the bottom and side.
An internal mechanical ball-locking mechanism provides rigid center position locking and center position damping. Hydraulic shock absorbers assure smooth, fast, and accurate positioning.
With bore sizes 20 to 66 mm in single and double-powered units, the SRU produces torques of 1.5 to 72 Nm while maintaining air feedthrough, inductive and magnetic position sensing, and flexible center bores.

The SQ-2115 is an ultra-thin, closed-loop nanopositioning stage that exerts 5 N force without heating. Contained in the 17 mm profile is an integral optical encoder and piezoelectric Squiggle motor, which supports vertical loads to 0.5 kg. It is capable of holding its position in the power-off mode, and is designed for automated nanopositioning in research and industrial instruments like microscope stages and vacuum chambers.
Ultrasonic vibrations of a threaded nut are used by the motor to directly rotate a mating screw for linear motion with 20 Nm resolution, high stiffness, low noise, and negligible heat.
The miniature stage offers a travel range of 15 mm and maximum speed of 2 mm/sec. A crossed roller-bearing stage type can be easily assembled into two and three-axis precision positioning systems for stage load capacity to 5 kg.

CarrySmart spreader-converger conveyors offer efficient repositioning of products, including fragile ones. These simple, positively driven transport conveyors use narrow-width stainless steel belt.
They gently move products along a fan-type belt, position the products evenly on either side of the conveyor centerline, or along a lane-type belt, and move the products from separate lines of travel and vice versa.
Custom designs with an open construction allow for easy cleaning and maintenance of the drive components and underside of the conveyor. They provide tight transfers with adjacent conveyors, thus minimizing potential damage to products.
