Tolerancing Handbook

Nov. 22, 2006
The handbook Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing for Design, Manufacturing, and Inspection, second edition, by Gorge Henzold and published by Elsevier Ltd. in 2006, aims to help users in design, manufacturing, and inspection by explaining how to make "completely toleranced" drawings.

These define and tolerance every single geometric element so that nothing is left to the individual judgment of the manufacturer or inspector. The book describes underlying principles of geometrical tolerancing, including terminology and symbols. Also included are descriptions of the international ISO standards. The book explains the differences between these, the American Standard ASME Y14.5M, and the former European Standards. It also describes the additional specifications in the German Standards (DIN Standards).
