Variable-Displacement Pump

Feb. 22, 2007
The KVAA variable-displacement pump is designed to run power attachments on commercial vehicles, such as cranes, winches, grapples, booms, and slews.

Compared to fixed-displacement pumps, the axial-piston unit eliminates the need to divert excess hydraulic flow to the oil reservoir. This reduces fuel consumption, permits a smaller oil cooler, and gives operators finer control of attachments. The pump is suited for demanding applications that call for smooth, efficient, precise, and faster work operations. Three nominal displacement sizes are 55, 80, and 107 cm3/rev. Nominal pressure rating is 300 bar, with peak pressure to 350 bar. Control options are constant pressure with load-sensing, or stepless electric-proportional control. The self-priming pump is for open-circuit operation, and it complies with relevant European and SAE standards.
