Viscosity Sensor

Dec. 14, 2006
A new low-shear-rate version of the solid-state ViSmart viscosity sensor is available.

The sensor is designed to simultaneously measure samples of low to midrange-viscosity fluids for continuous, real-time, in-line viscosity measurements for in-line process-control systems that need high resolution and accuracy. The 4-oz sensor has no moving parts, is sealed so it can be completely immersed in the process stream where it is not affected by vibration or flow conditions. ViSmart measures both fluid viscosity from 1 to 500 centipoise and temperatures to 125°C with no field calibration.
