Sept. 11, 2013
Call for papers for the PM 2014 World Congress is due September 20th, 2013.

On May 18-22, 2014, the world's leading powder-metallurgy minds will unite at the PM 2014 World Congress in Orlando, Florida. This event is held only once every six years in North America and will cover PM technology advancements from over 40 countries.

The call for papers and posters deadline is just around the corner on September 20, 2013. For more information about the event and how to submit an abstract, click here.

The five-day event is in conjunction with the Tungsten, Refractory & Hardmaterials Conference. For more information about this technical program and how to submit an abstract, click here.

The Metal Powder Industries Federation is also holding a co-located, inaugural conference on Additive Manufacturing. The conference will focus on AM with powder metallurgy. Cochairmen Gregory Morris anticipates presentations that will include the perspective of metal powder producers, toll providers and end-users of these processes, R&D programs from academia and consortiums, and equipment manufacturers. Expected topics will include materials, applications, technical barriers, process economics, and new developments.

The conference will comprise six technical sessions, with three presentations in each. Presentation length will be approximately 25 minutes including questions. A Powerpoint (or equivalent) presentation is required; manuscript is optional. All presentations and manuscripts will be included in the AMPM conference proceedings. Additionally, manuscripts submitted to this program will be considered for publication in the International Journal of Powder Metallurgy’s Special Focus issue on Additive Manufacturing to be published in 2015. There will be a special discounted AMPM conference registration fee for speakers.

Anyone wishing to submit an abstract for the AM conference should send the title, abstract, and speaker information prior to October 1.
