Museum rolls into its 15th year
The Volvo Museum, located in Arendal Gothenburg, Sweden, recently celebrated its 15th anniversary. Over that time, the first-class collection of historic Volvo vehicles has grown to more than 100 cars, trucks, buses, and construction vehicles, as well as marine and aircraft engines, technical components, equipment, display material, and anything else pertinent to Volvo’s operations. The museum is run jointly by AB Volvo and the Volvo Car Corp.
Mobile training center
The “Drive Ahead Road Show Tour” hit the road recently to start a whirlwind tour across the U.S. and Canada. It’s the brainchild of Vacon Inc., Mequon, Wis., a manufacturer of ac drives.
Housed in a 53-ft, double-expandable trailer, the center showcases a PC software tool and 10 different product lines, including NXS Standalone, NXP, NXC, Liquid Cooled, NX Common DC Bus, and the SE2. Sales reps will assist customers with hands-on demonstrations of four products — the Vacon 10, Vacon 100 HVAC, Vacon NXS, and the Vacon X-Series. The 1,000-sq-ft space also holds two HDTV’s that will air interactive presentations during training sessions.
