Wheeling, Ill. . . . The North American Die Casting Association (Nadca) has launched an online technical forum to answer questions posed by designers, buyers, and die-casting specifiers.

Users can post about any die-casting topic, ranging from material specs and tolerances to how production processes can be improved. Answers will come from a variety of Nadca member experts. Separate design and technology forums within the site will help users find pertinent information more quickly.

"At a time when designers are under the gun to do more with less — and to do it faster — the Technical Forum will be a particularly valuable tool," says Nadca President Daniel L. Twarog. There have been over 2,000 postings on 525 topics to a beta version active over the last several months. To register for the forum visit: diecasting.org/technical.
