Wanted: Toy Sensations

June 5, 2003
The Cabbage-Patch Kid craze and Beanie Baby bonanza may have ended, but that just means toymakers are on the hunt for the next big hit.

Wanted:

Toy sensations

In that vein, Creative Group Marketing, Stamford, Conn., is launching Toy Search America 2003, a nationwide hunt for hot new toy or product inventions. Products chosen will be introduced this fall at Toy Fair in New York City. Another perk: no submission fees. CGM is waiving the fees toy agents usually charge to review a new product concept. "Most people don't realize that the majority of all toy, game, and novelty items come from the private sector," says CGM president Gary Ahlert. "Another thing inventors need to realize is no matter how great their idea is, most toy companies will not look at any new products unless submitted through a recognized toy agent."

Inventors up for the challenge can call (800) 678-8972 for more information.
