Nancy Friedrich joined Penton’s Electronic Design in 1998. Since then, she has held various positions ranging from Managing Editor of Embedded Systems Development to Technology Editor at Wireless Systems Design. Prior to becoming Executive Director of Content & User Engagement, Nancy was Editor-in-Chief of Microwaves & RF. In her current position, Nancy manages the content efforts for Machine Design, Electronic Design, Microwaves & RF, Power Electronics Technology, Hydraulics & Pneumatics, Global Purchasing, and SourceESB.
Steve serves as Senior Editor of Machine Design. He has 23 years of service and has a B.S. Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. Steve was also a Flight officer in the U.S. Navy. He is currently responsible for aerospace, medical, management, scanning technologies, and fastening and joining coverage.
Jeff serves as Technical Editor of Machine Design. He graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelors of Science in mechanical engineering. He brings experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, automation design, polymer testing, and more. Kerns will focus on materials, 3D printing, and electrical solutions and applications for the Machine Design brand.
Carlos serves as Technical Editor of Machine Design. He joined the team from Sikorsky Aircraft, where he worked on the Hydraulics and Flight Controls for the CH53K Military Aircraft. He holds a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University and a B.S in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in mathematics from Manhattan College. Carlos covers fluid power, motion control, CAD/CAM, and manufacturing for Machine Design.
